Travel entrepreneur Jordan Stolper to Speak at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration

Entrepreneur Jordan Stolper will be the featured speaker in the Conversations with Entrepreneurs series to be presented next Tuesday, February 9, by the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at Cornell University. Stolper will present from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. in 445 Statler Hall. He will dine with selected students after the event and meet with students, staff, and faculty the following day.

Stolper is CEO and co-founder of New York-based gliider (www.gliider.com), a research tool that lets users gather and save travel information from any site on the web-and then get deals specific to their trip. Launched in October, 2009, gliider now has thousands of users and has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and TechCrunch.

Stolper began his career as a travel journalist, writing for The New York Times, National Geographic Adventure, and The Economist. Later he became a brand and innovation consultant, helping companies like Yahoo!, Travel Channel, NBC, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and Gucci Group develop new products and brands to drive growth.

Stolper holds a BA in sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MA in international affairs from Columbia University.
