First Luxury Car Dealership/Restaurant Partnership in Country Opens in Placer County, California

Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin and Bistro 33 Announce Opening of First Auto Dealership/Restaurant Concept in US

Aug 26, 2009 - 13:53
A first-of-its-kind business partnership between Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin and the restaurant group SRO Inc., owners of such fine dining establishments as Bistro 33, Riverside Clubhouse and Tre, opens today. This luxury car dealership and upscale independent restaurant group joint venture is housed in the newest and most spectacular example of the worldwide Mercedes-Benz Autohaus Image Program.

Imagine purchasing a Mercedes-Benz after enjoying a superb meal and fine wine...like enjoying a salmon nicoise with a new C-Class. The owners of Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin and Bistro 33 thought it an innovative combination of fine dining and car retailing, unique to this region if not the entire country. And even in one of the toughest economies since the Depression.

The idea was discussed over dinner at Bistro 33 in El Dorado Hills some twelve months ago. "While enjoying a meal, and looking across the lake at our dealership situated in Town Center, we thought why not bring two great brands together under one roof," shared George Grinzewitsch Jr., owner of Von Housen Automotive Group, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin as well as Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Sacramento and El Dorado Hills.

With Bistro 33 Rocklin, SRO Inc. continues its commitment to bringing "inventive neighborhood dining" to the community. "At Bistro 33 Rocklin, our customers will experience the ultimate luxury destination while dining on infused interpretations of timeless American classic fare with a modernistic sensibility at appealing prices. Just as they did in stately East Sacramento with 33rd Street Bistro and in Sacramento's classic Land Park neighborhood with Riverside Clubhouse, we have created a restaurant in Rocklin that the Placer County residents truly believe to be their own," shared Matt Haines, co-owner of SRO Inc. The restaurant will be open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a full bar.

The contemporary building housing the dealership and restaurant features futuristic dark blue columns rising to a thin aluminum clad soffit and fascia. The high performance glass facade helps the building achieve a "greener" energy footprint. A spectacular stairway of wood treads and stainless steel gracefully surrounds the elevator which pierces the second floor to bring guests to the highest level of Mercedes displays with a curved second floor balcony. The guests visiting the dealership will literally be surrounded by the luxury and beauty of Mercedes-Benz. Be the first to experience an extraordinary facility, showcasing world-class vehicles with fine dining steps away.
