Ruby Tuesday (NYSE: RI), one of the nation's leading casual dining foodservice companies, has announced that it will open a restaurant in the heart of Times Square that will have more than 10,000 square feet on two levels and be the brand's Big Apple debut.

The restaurant - with a menu featuring fresh, USDA Choice and Prime burgers and an unlimited, fresh Garden Bar - is expected to open in April of 2007. The first-floor space, encompassing almost 3,000 square feet, will include a bar and seating for dining from an appetizers-and-snacks menu. It will also include an area for take-out customers. The 7,500 square-foot second level will house dining rooms and an additional beverage service area.

'We have every reason to be very excited about this opening,' said Kimberly Grant, Ruby Tuesday's Senior Vice President of Operations. 'Although we have had numerous, successful Ruby Tuesdays in the suburbs of New York City for many years, this is our first in Manhattan. The location is the best of the best, at the heart of one of the most famous and exciting parts of one of America's most important cities,' she added.

Ruby Tuesday officials say they expect the restaurant to be the chain's highest-volume location. It is the largest real estate transaction in the company's 34-year history.

The Times Square Ruby Tuesday's menu will be nearly identical to the menus in the rest of its more than 850 restaurants across the United States.

'We intend to offer people in Manhattan - residents and visitors - the same kind of affordable, classic American food that is available everyday in all our restaurants,' said Sandy Beall, the company's founder, CEO and Chairman. 'It's about uncompromising freshness and quality - and about value.'

Ruby Tuesday, Inc. owns, operates, and franchises more than 850 restaurants in 42 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and in 13 countries.
