Zaxby's Expands into Arizona with New Phoenix Restaurant

Zaxby's has launched its first restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, located at 37756 N Gantzel Rd. The new establishment, operated by franchisees Brian and Jessica Nelson of BOCKBOCK, LLC, began serving customers on August 13, 2025. This development is part of Zaxby's strategic expansion into the Western United States, following a recent opening in Las Vegas.

The Phoenix location spans 3,000 square feet and includes seating for 56 dine-in guests. It also features a dual drive-thru and a curbside pickup door to facilitate expedited service. The restaurant's design incorporates Zaxby's branding elements and offers ordering options through the Zaxby's app and various delivery services.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for August 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time, with remarks from Zaxby's Chief Operating Officer, Sharlene Smith, and franchise owner Brian Nelson. The first 100 guests will receive complimentary Zaxby's meals for six months, subject to terms and conditions.

The Phoenix opening is part of Zaxby's broader strategy to increase its presence in new markets, with Arizona being the second new state entry for the company in 2025. The company aims to surpass its 1,000th store opening by the end of the year.

The new location is expected to create approximately 70 jobs. Interested applicants can apply through the workstream platform. The Nelsons plan to open additional Zaxby's locations in Phoenix in the future.
