White Castle has appointed Anthony Joseph as its new president. This is the first time in the company's 104-year history that a non-family member has assumed this role. Joseph takes over from Lisa Ingram, who will continue to serve as CEO and board chair.
Joseph has been with White Castle since 2016, serving as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. He led the company's legal, risk management, organizational development, technology, and corporate relations functions. In his new role, Joseph will oversee the retail and manufacturing divisions of White Castle.
Ingram expressed confidence in Joseph's abilities, highlighting his strategic planning skills, talent for building successful teams, and dedication to the company. Joseph was grateful for the opportunity and eager to lead the company towards continued growth.
White Castle, founded in 1921, has seen several growth milestones recently. The company celebrated its 100th birthday in 2021 and opened new restaurants in Phoenix and Orlando. The same year, it sold its 6 billionth Slider and began expanding its plant in Vandalia, Ohio, to meet increasing demand for frozen Sliders.
Before joining White Castle, Joseph spent over 15 years at Concessions International as general counsel and later president. He has served on various boards, including the National Restaurant Association and Columbus State Community College. A Yale University graduate and Columbia Law School alumnus, Joseph is a father of two and a dedicated fan of Liverpool FC.
