Whataburger Names Jessica Reicher As New Chief Operating Officer

Whataburger has announced the appointment of Jessica Reicher as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Reicher, who will assume her role on September 16, 2025, will be based in San Antonio, Texas, at the company's headquarters. In her new position, she will oversee corporate and franchise restaurant operations and services, focusing on operational strategy and team development.

Reicher brings extensive experience in the restaurant industry, having previously served as President of Arby's at Flynn Group. During her tenure, she managed over 360 locations across 10 states, achieving high rankings in sales and customer satisfaction. Her leadership contributed to significant improvements in employee turnover rates and earned the team the Arby's Franchisee of the Year Award in 2021.

Reicher's career began at Red Robin, where she progressed from an hourly team member to Regional Operations Director. She has also held senior leadership roles at Fuddruckers, Pizza Hut International, and Taco Bell, where she was responsible for overseeing operations at more than 7,200 restaurants. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Nando's U.S., where she led a strategic growth plan.

At Whataburger, Reicher will be responsible for guiding the company's operational strategy as it continues to expand its presence. Whataburger currently operates over 1,100 restaurants across 17 states and employs more than 52,000 individuals. The company is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

Reicher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Oregon. Her appointment comes as Whataburger seeks to enhance its operational excellence and improve the guest experience across its locations.
