Wendy's Company Announces Ken Cook As Successor to Gunther Plosch As CFO
Cook, who previously held the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis position at United Parcel Service (UPS), will report directly to Kirk Tanner, President and CEO of Wendy's.
The Wendy's Company has announced the appointment of Ken Cook as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective from December 2, 2024. Cook will take over from Gunther Plosch, who has held the position since 2016 and will be leaving the company at the end of the year following a transition period with Cook.
Cook, who previously held the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis position at United Parcel Service (UPS), will report directly to Kirk Tanner, President and CEO of Wendy's. He will also serve on Wendy's Senior Leadership Team. During his tenure at UPS, Cook held several key roles, including CFO for the U.S. Domestic segment and leadership roles in Investor Relations and Treasury. He also served as the CFO of South Asia for more than three years.
Kirk Tanner, President and CEO of Wendy's, expressed confidence in Cook's ability to support the company's growth initiatives and increase revenue. Cook expressed excitement about his new role, emphasizing his commitment to working with Wendy's team and the franchise community to drive profitable growth.
The company also announced that it will release its fourth quarter and full-year results for 2024 on February 13, 2025, and host an Investor Day on March 5, 2025.
