Georgia led the nation in this regard, with 76% of its residents expressing a passion for the sandwich, followed closely by Washington and Delaware. Additionally, 84% of Americans reported that biting into a perfectly crispy and gooey grilled cheese is one of their favorite experiences.

On average, Americans consume three grilled cheese sandwiches per month, with residents of Delaware and Idaho enjoying them even more frequently. The survey also revealed that 72% of respondents turn to grilled cheese as a comfort food when feeling down. Executive Chef Josh Archibald from Tillamook emphasized the sandwich's comforting nature, noting its dynamic and decadent qualities.
