Sweetgreen Adds Sweetlane Location in McLean, Virginia
Sweetgreen has opened a new Sweetlane drive-thru location in McLean, Virginia, reflecting the company's continued investment in off-premises dining formats to meet evolving guest demand.
The restaurant at 6220 Old Dominion Drive will be Sweetgreen’s first sweetlane location on the East Coast and its fourth sweetlane location overall. It will offer order-ahead drive-up pickup through a dedicated sweetlane window, along with dine-in seating and traditional in-store pickup.
Sweetlane was introduced as a pilot concept in 2022 for customers placing orders through Sweetgreen’s digital channels. Customers place orders through the Sweetgreen app or website, select sweetlane as the pickup method and drive through the designated lane when their orders are ready.
The McLean restaurant will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Its menu will include salads, warm bowls, protein-forward plates and wraps, including the Harvest Bowl, Crispy Rice Bowl and Miso Glazed Salmon.
The location will also offer Sweetgreen’s Omega Glow, a permanent menu item featuring miso-glazed salmon and miso sesame ginger dressing.
Customers may also order the Sweetgreen x Fishwife Summer Niçoise, available nationwide through Aug. 24 while supplies last. The item combines Sweetgreen’s Niçoise salad with Fishwife’s Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon, which customers add to the salad themselves.
