Smoothie King Celebrates Opening of 1,200th Store Amid Rapid Chicago Expansion

Smoothie King recently opened its 1,200th store in Roanoke, Texas, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth. The Texas-based brand is also rapidly expanding in the Chicago market, with ten new locations at various stages of development.

The Roanoke store's grand opening took place on November 14, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local community guests and city officials. As part of the celebration, guests enjoyed free smoothies and prizes, with the first 100 attendees receiving Smoothie King-branded tumblers.

Smoothie King's expansion in Chicago includes recent store openings in Dekalb and Chicago, an upcoming opening in Crest Hill, and four more stores planned for early 2025 in Huntley, Lansing, Oak Lawn, and Homer Glen. The company has also secured commitments for three additional Illinois locations, including two in Chicago and one in Ottawa.

"With the opening of our 1,200th store in Roanoke and our expansion in Chicago, we're bringing our nutritious smoothies to more communities," said Chris Bremer, Chief Development Officer at Smoothie King.

Smoothie King's Clean Blends initiative focuses on using whole fruits and vegetables, eliminating more than 70 unwanted ingredients, including artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, and added sugars from many blends. The company's growth in Illinois and Texas is part of a strategic expansion plan to cater to increasing consumer demand for nutritious meal options nationwide.
