Shawarma Press Leverages Digital Kitchen Concept for Atlanta Expansion
Shawarma Press, a Mediterranean Franchise, expands its presence in Atlanta by introducing a Digital Kitchen at Forrest Eatery in Midtown. The kitchen leverages technology for efficient food ordering and delivery.
Shawarma Press, the first authentic Shawarma franchise in the nation, is extending its reach in Georgia by opening a digital kitchen at Forrest Eatery in Midtown Atlanta. Following the inauguration of its first Georgia location in Johns Creek last year, the franchise is keen to tap into the rising popularity of Mediterranean cuisine in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
The second location results from owner Sabri Sabri's strategic move to broaden Shawarma Press's customer base in Atlanta. Sabri's decision to adopt the "Digital Kitchen" concept aligns with the increasing global trend of fast-casual dining where technology and food service intersect for a more efficient and convenient customer experience.
Forrest Eatery is a bustling restaurant hub in Midtown Atlanta, housing approximately 20 different food concepts. Shawarma Press's digital kitchen will add a unique twist to the food scene with its efficient online order processing system and tech-driven delivery service. Customers place orders online, receive a specific code in the pick-up notification, access their meals from dedicated lockers, or even place orders through lobby kiosks at the eatery. Adding robotic assistants to deliver orders to respective lockers adds a futuristic aspect to the dining experience.
Shawarma Press's move to Forrest Eatery is a calculated decision based on the vibrant Midtown community's potential. Sabri noted the area's preference for convenient catering and third-party deliveries, considering the presence of major universities, corporate headquarters, and a mix of commercial and residential properties.
Sawsan Abublan, co-founder and CEO of Shawarma Press, expressed enthusiasm for the Midtown location, the second-largest business district in Metro Atlanta. Given that at least 50 percent of the franchise's orders are placed online or via their app, a digital kitchen in Midtown was a logical decision to cater to the area's dependence on third-party delivery partners.
The new location, set to open during the first week of March, will offer customers a variety of delectable Mediterranean offerings. The menu features the franchise's signature Shawarma wraps made with all-natural chicken and premium beef, handmade falafels and hummus, fresh soups, salads, bowls, and pastries. The Shawarma Press app also offers customers the option to earn loyalty rewards with every order.
Since its inception in 2017 in Irving, Shawarma Press has rapidly expanded its presence throughout Texas and Georgia, with multiple locations in various stages of development. The franchise's strategic growth plan includes expanding with traditional brick-and-mortar locations and non-traditional options like the digital kitchen in Midtown.
Abublan stated that the franchise is well-positioned to offer more franchise opportunities nationwide, with customers increasingly seeking the fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food that Shawarma Press offers.
