Scott Drake to Succeed David McKillips As CEC Entertainment CEO in 2026
CEC Entertainment announced the appointment of Scott Drake as President and CEO, effective February 13, 2026, succeeding David McKillips.
CEC Entertainment announced that Scott Drake will become President and CEO, effective February 13, 2026. Drake will succeed David McKillips, who has served as President and CEO since 2020. Drake joined CEC Entertainment in 2024 as Chief Financial Officer after holding senior leadership positions at Farmer Brothers Coffee Co., GameStop Corp., and 7-Eleven, Inc.
During McKillips' tenure, the company underwent post-pandemic stabilization and transformation. The company stated that under Drake’s financial leadership, it strengthened its balance sheet, refinanced its capital structure, and delivered growth through strategic initiatives.
CEC Entertainment recently completed a systemwide remodel and brand refresh. The company has launched several initiatives, including brand extensions such as the Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World concept and the development of Chuck E. Cheese's licensing and entertainment business.
In 2026, CEC Entertainment plans to continue expanding its footprint with new Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World locations, the growth of its Mega-Superhero Playgrounds, and additional resort-based Chuck's Arcades. The company also plans to debut its first Chuck E. Cheese location in the UK and continue expanding internationally.
As of September 29, 2025, CEC Entertainment and its franchisees operated 657 venues. Of these, 501 were company-operated venues located in 44 states and Canada. Franchisees operated 156 venues in 10 states and 16 foreign countries and territories, including Australia, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kuwait, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago.
