Red Lobster Announces Larry Konecny As Chief Operating Officer

Red Lobster has announced the appointment of Larry Konecny as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Konecny will manage the operations of Red Lobster's 545 outlets across the United States and Canada. He will report directly to CEO Damola Adamolekun and be responsible for improving food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. His role will also involve nurturing a culture of teamwork and excellence.
CEO Adamolekun praised Konecny's operational expertise and ability to develop efficient teams. He also noted Konecny's understanding of building successful restaurant brands and his proven track record in leadership roles.
Before joining Red Lobster, Konecny was the COO and Chief Concept Officer at Maggiano's Little Italy. During his tenure, he steered the brand through significant sales and profit growth. He also led a major menu transformation and revitalized lunch traffic, resulting in a substantial increase in key areas.
Konecny, who has 30 years of experience in restaurant operations, is known for his success in leading expansion efforts, reversing sales trends, and optimizing operational metrics. He expressed his excitement about joining Red Lobster and working with the team to shape the future of the iconic brand.
Apart from his professional achievements, Konecny is also involved in community service. He sits on the Dean's Advisory Board for the University of Houston Hilton School of Hospitality and the Foundation for Lovejoy Schools. He holds an MBA from North Central College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston.
