QDOBA Appoints Cathy Tang As Chief Legal Officer

QDOBA has announced the appointment of Cathy Tang as Chief Legal Officer. In this role, Tang will oversee the company's legal, compliance, risk management, and corporate governance functions. She will also participate in franchise strategy and transactional initiatives as QDOBA pursues its expansion plans.
Tang brings experience from previous legal and executive roles in the restaurant and hospitality sectors. Her responsibilities at QDOBA include:
- Leading legal, compliance, risk management, and corporate governance functions
- Supporting franchising, development, and transactional initiatives
- Collaborating with franchise partners on agreements and brand standards
- Advising on legal and regulatory matters related to expansion
QDOBA is pursuing a growth strategy to double its U.S. footprint by 2032. The company has more than 650 development commitments and aims to open over 100 new locations per year by 2027. Expansion efforts focus on high-demand U.S. markets and include partnerships with multi-unit operators.
Tang's appointment is part of QDOBA's plan to support its expansion while maintaining compliance and consistency across its operations. Her role includes working with franchise partners to address legal and regulatory requirements and to support the company's development objectives.
QDOBA currently operates approximately 840 locations in 45 states, as well as in Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan, and South Korea. The company is continuing to expand its presence in the U.S. through new franchise agreements and openings.
