OpenTable has published its annual list of the Top 100 Brunch Restaurants in America for 2025. The list was compiled by analyzing more than 10 million diner reviews, diner ratings, reservation demand, and the percentage of five-star reviews among other factors.

The list features a wide selection of restaurants from across the country, with California leading the way with 22 featured restaurants, including San Francisco's Elena's and Los Angeles' Republique. New York followed with 12 restaurants, including The Odeon and Little Owl in New York City.

OpenTable also released findings from a recent study indicating a growing trend among mothers preferring to dine out solo as part of their Mother's Day celebrations. The study found that nearly a third of mothers (30%) consider dining out alone as part of their Mother's Day celebrations.

Further findings from the study show that mothers seek relaxation and a break from decision-making on Mother's Day. Around 39% of moms admitted to having to book their own celebratory meal, and 44% stated that having someone else take the lead on decisions makes Mother's Day more special.

The study also revealed that 46% of mothers prefer early dining to maximize their relaxation time throughout the day. OpenTable's data supports this trend, showing a 19% year-on-year increase in reservations at 10 a.m. on Mother's Day 2024.

64% of mothers also indicate a focus on relaxation, preferring a waterfront or scenic view for their Mother's Day meal. Restaurants like North Pond in Chicago and Mala Ocean Tavern in Hawaii, featured on OpenTable's Top 100 Brunch list, are popular for such dining experiences.

The study further found that a chef's tasting menu is a must-have for 51% of moms, with OpenTable data from 2024 showing a 29% year-on-year increase in OpenTable Experience dining on Mother's Day.

The study's results were obtained through an online survey of 1,542 U.S. consumers who celebrated Mother's Day in 2025.
