This expansion marks QDOBA's first move into the Arizona market beyond its existing locations at Grand Canyon University and Arizona State University.
QDOBA Mexican Eats is set to open its first standalone locations in Arizona. The new restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale are expected to open later this month. This expansion marks QDOBA's first move into the Arizona market beyond its existing locations at Grand Canyon University and Arizona State University.
The Phoenix restaurant is at 4901 Ray Road Space #100, while the Scottsdale location is at 4821 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 100. Both locations are expected to open in late December, with grand opening events planned for January. These new establishments are set to create around 80 jobs in the local area, and both locations are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions.
QDOBA is known for its flavorful, Mexican-inspired menu items, freshly prepared daily. Customers can order signature menu items or customize their own dishes, including burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads. There is no extra charge for premium toppings, like the restaurant's signature 3-cheese queso and handmade guacamole. Online ordering will be available via the QDOBA website or app, where customers can also earn rewards for future visits.
Each restaurant will feature a 2,000-square-foot interior, an open grill 'theater' where customers can watch proteins being grilled fresh throughout the day, and modern decor, including real wood furniture. The Phoenix location will have an additional 1,000-square-foot outdoor seating area, while the Scottsdale restaurant will feature an additional 1,500-square-foot outdoor seating area and a fireplace.
QDOBA's Chief Development Officer, Jeremy Vitaro, expressed the company's excitement about entering the Arizona market. Over the next two years, the company plans to open as many as 10 more restaurants in the Arizona-Southwest region. Currently, QDOBA operates about 800 restaurants in North America, with plans to nearly double that number over the next decade.
