McDonald’s Names Skye Anderson President of U.S. Business

Anderson will oversee nearly 14,000 restaurants in the United States. She returned to McDonald’s USA as chief operating officer earlier this year as part of a leadership transition plan intended to prepare her to lead the U.S. business.

Anderson has more than 26 years of experience with McDonald’s. Her previous roles have included finance leadership in Australia, field and zone leadership in the United States, work on the creation of the company’s Global Business Services, and leadership of U.S. operations as chief operating officer.

As president, Anderson will lead McDonald’s USA as the company advances its McDonald’s > NEXT strategy across U.S. restaurants, including growth and productivity initiatives across its system.

Anderson succeeds Erlinger, who is leaving McDonald’s after more than two decades with the company, including almost seven years leading the U.S. business. Erlinger will work with Anderson during the transition and serve as an adviser until early 2027.

During a four-year tenure as head of McDonald’s U.S. West Zone, Anderson supported initiatives involving more than 5,700 restaurants. Comparable sales in the zone increased by more than 30%, while average restaurant unit cash flow increased by $100,000.

Erlinger led McDonald’s USA during a period when the company expanded its digital capabilities and worked on its franchise system and restaurant operations.
