Marco's Pizza Signs 12-Unit Franchise Agreement for Southern California

Marco's Pizza has signed a 12-unit franchise agreement with multi-unit operator Baljit Gill to accelerate its expansion in Southern California. Gill, who began franchising in 1998 with Subway, currently operates 21 Subway locations and one Auntie Anne's in the region. The new agreement expands Gill's commitment to Marco's Pizza, following an initial four-unit deal.

Three Marco's Pizza locations operated by Gill are currently open in Upland, Fontana, and Hesperia. Two additional stores in Yucaipa and Highland are in development and are scheduled to open in early April. The remaining units are in the site selection phase throughout Southern California.

Gill's family is involved in the management of multiple franchise brands. His wife oversees the Subway portfolio, his daughter leads Marco's Pizza operations, and his son is beginning to participate in the business. Gill provides strategic and back-office support for the family's franchise operations.

Marco's Pizza is focused on attracting experienced multi-unit franchisees in California and offers a development support system that includes technology and tools for territory identification, as well as assistance with real estate, construction management, field operations, and financing information.
