Krispy Kreme Inc. has commenced its expansion into Spain with the opening of its first Hot Light Theater Shop in Madrid on October 2, 2025. This development is part of a minority interest joint venture with Glaseados Originales S.L. The company plans to open additional locations in Spain, Brazil, and Uzbekistan by the end of 2025.

In Spain, Krispy Kreme is focusing on the capital city, Madrid, where two more shops are scheduled to open by the end of the year. Over the next four years, the company plans to establish more than 50 locations throughout Spain, including five Hot Light Theater Shops. These will serve as both retail outlets and production centers. Planned expansion includes cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Zaragoza, and Bilbao.

In Brazil, Krispy Kreme entered the market in April and intends to open two new locations in São Paulo before the end of 2025. These will be developed through a joint venture with Ipiranga’s AmPM. The São Paulo locations will include a new shop design and a compact kiosk format. Both will offer a variety of products, including local favorites.

Krispy Kreme will also enter the Uzbekistan market in October 2025 with a shop in Tashkent. This will be managed through a franchise partnership with Food Town Logistics-Group, LLC. The franchisee plans to open more than 70 shops in Uzbekistan over the next five years.
