Subway has announced the appointment of Jonathan Fitzpatrick as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 28, 2025. The decision was made following a comprehensive search process.

Fitzpatrick brings over 20 years of experience in the franchising and quick service restaurant sectors. Before joining Subway, he served as President and CEO of Driven Brands, where he oversaw 17 consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Burger King, where he was involved in significant menu changes and operational improvements.

In his new role at Subway, Fitzpatrick will work closely with Interim CEO Carrie Walsh to ensure a smooth transition. His responsibilities will include driving sales, enhancing franchisee profitability, and expanding the brand's global presence.

Subway operates nearly 37,000 restaurants worldwide, owned and operated by a network of franchisees.
