Jersey Mike's Names Betsy Mercado As Chief People Officer

Jersey Mike's has announced the appointment of Betsy Mercado as its Chief People Officer. Mercado will be responsible for leading the company's people strategies, focusing on leadership development, compliance, and team member experience. Her role will include initiatives aimed at building high-performance teams and enhancing the company's organizational capability as it continues its expansion.

Mercado brings over 20 years of experience in human resources leadership within the restaurant and franchise sectors. Before joining Jersey Mike's, she served as Chief People Officer at Flynn Group, where she managed HR operations for a team supporting over 2,700 restaurants and fitness clubs nationwide. Her responsibilities included talent acquisition, leadership development, culture initiatives, total rewards, HR technology, and compliance. Before her tenure at Flynn Group, Mercado served as Vice President of Human Resources at The Palm Restaurants, where she oversaw employee relations, talent management, and compensation and benefits.
