Cousins Maine Lobster recently announced the expansion of its Michigan operations with the launch of a new food truck in Grand Rapids. This marks Michigan's third CML food truck and the brand's 85th unit overall. The launch also aligns with the brand's 13th anniversary, celebrated on April 26th.
Seasoned operators Hussein (Hank) Kdouh, Muhammed (Moe) Zahr, and Rabih Zahr operate the new food truck. This is their second market, having previously brought the flavors of Maine lobster to Southwest Michigan. The new truck's launch comes in response to a growing demand for high-quality seafood across the state. The food truck will offer a variety of seafood dishes, including Maine lobster rolls, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, and whoopie pies.
The Michigan franchisee team, comprising childhood friends and business partners, first launched a CML food truck in Detroit in the summer of 2022. Given the high demand, they followed up with a second truck three months later. Their success is attributed to exceptional customer service, strong fan following, and strategic expansion plans. The team plans to open a fourth CML food truck in Kalamazoo this June.
Cousins Maine Lobster's official debut in Grand Rapids is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, with a grand opening event at Speciation Cellars, located at 928 Wealthy St SE. The event will run from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and feature a ribbon cutting and launch party.
