Expansion Plans for Barberitos Include Six New Outlets in Savannah and Athens
Barberitos has signed agreements to open six new franchise locations in Georgia, with three each in Savannah and Athens.
Barberitos, a fast-casual burrito chain, is expanding its presence in Georgia through two new multi-unit development agreements. The agreements will result in the opening of six new franchise locations, with three in Savannah and three in Athens. This expansion builds on Barberitos' existing operations in the state.
Franchisee David Weeks has committed to opening three new locations in Athens. Weeks currently operates 21 restaurants in the Athens area, including nine Barberitos outlets. His existing Barberitos locations are among the top performers in the franchise system.
Franchisee Azat Nasretdinov will also open three new locations in Savannah. In 2024, he acquired his first Barberitos location in Vidalia. He transitioned from a corporate comptroller role to entrepreneurship and aims to expand fast-casual dining options in Savannah.
The expansion aligns with Georgia's recognition as a top franchise growth market, as noted in a report by the International Franchise Association. Barberitos is part of the WOWorks dining platform, which is seeking additional experienced franchisees to join its network.
Barberitos offers a menu featuring burritos, bowls, and quesadillas, emphasizing fresh and customizable options. The brand aims to provide nutritious dining choices in a fast-casual setting.
