Cracker Barrel Announces Leadership Changes and Structural Reorganization

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. has introduced several changes to its leadership team and organizational structure. These changes are intended to streamline operations and enhance the company's focus on food and guest experiences.

Doug Hisel, formerly Vice President of Field Operations, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Store Operations. In his new role, Hisel will oversee Field Operations and Operations Services. Hisel has been with Cracker Barrel for 18 years, beginning his career as an Associate Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2007. The company has also restructured its operations team, leading to the elimination of the Senior Vice President and Chief Restaurant and Retail Operations Officer position, previously held by Cammie Spillyards-Schaefer.

Thomas Yun is returning to Cracker Barrel as Vice President of Menu Strategy & Innovation, replacing Matthew Banton. Yun previously held this role from 2022 to 2024 and was responsible for several successful menu introductions. His experience in menu innovation will focus on classic country dishes.

Additionally, Heather Hager, Vice President of Retail & Design, and Heather Gammon, Vice President of Demand Planning, will take on expanded roles. They will absorb responsibilities from Laura Daily, Senior Vice President, Chief Merchant and Retail Supply Chain, following her retirement.

The company also confirmed the conclusion of its engagement with Prophet, a consultancy that advised on previous brand refresh initiatives, including logo and restaurant redesigns.
