Cousins Maine Lobster is set to expand into West Texas, following a multi-year deal with franchisees Chris Wilson and Gary Andrews. The company, known for its lobster rolls, chowder, and whoopie pies, has attracted customers across Texas, catalyzing this new expansion.
Wilson is an experienced franchise owner who has previously worked with Sonic and Slim Chickens. Along with Andrews, Wilson currently owns six Slim Chickens units in the Lubbock area. Andrews is also part of the executive team of Lubbock-based GRACO Real Estate Development, a commercial real estate company. The duo plans to open their first Cousins Maine Lobster unit within four months of signing the franchise agreement.
The first food truck is set to launch in the Lubbock metro area. It will serve all of West Texas and Northwest Oklahoma, including Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, Wichita, and San Angelo. The Grand Opening of their first truck will be at the West End Shopping Center in Lubbock, TX, on Saturday, October 26th.
