Cousins Maine Lobster has launched a new food truck in Charlotte, North Carolina, expanding its presence in the state to four trucks. The opening marks the company’s return to the Charlotte market.

The Charlotte food truck is operated by franchisees Savas and Victoria Alkoc. The Alkocs also manage Cousins Maine Lobster trucks in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

The grand opening event is scheduled for January 22 at Town Brewing Co., located at 800 Grandin Rd., from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The truck will serve menu items including lobster rolls, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, New England clam chowder, and whoopie pies.

Cousins Maine Lobster’s expansion in North Carolina is part of a broader strategy to increase its food truck footprint in multiple markets. The company’s decision to re-enter the Charlotte market follows previous operations in the area and is based on what it describes as strong consumer demand.

No additional details regarding future expansion plans or additional units in North Carolina were provided in the announcement. The company has not disclosed the total number of trucks currently operating nationwide.

The Charlotte food truck will operate at various locations in the area, with event schedules available on the Cousins Maine Lobster Charlotte Facebook page.

The opening in Charlotte is part of Cousins Maine Lobster’s ongoing efforts to grow its food truck operations and serve additional markets through franchise partnerships.
