Cooper's Hawk to Open Second Piccolo Buco Location in Naperville
Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants will open a second Piccolo Buco location in Naperville, Illinois, on August 25, 2025.
Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants is set to open a second location of its Piccolo Buco restaurant in Naperville, Illinois, on August 25, 2025. The new establishment is located at 456 Illinois Route 59 within the Block 59 development. This expansion follows the success of the original Piccolo Buco in Oak Brook, Illinois.
The Naperville restaurant will feature 195 seats, comprising 127 indoor seats and 68 on an enclosed patio. The interior includes a tasting bar for wine experiences and decor inspired by Roman monuments. The restaurant's design elements aim to reflect the ambiance of a Roman trattoria.
The menu at Piccolo Buco Naperville will offer traditional Italian dishes alongside modern interpretations. Signature menu items include the "Red, Yellow or White" pizza, Mama Luca's Meatballs, and Cacio e Pepe. The restaurant will also provide a lunch menu featuring Sardinian sandwiches made with the restaurant's signature pizza dough.
The restaurant's wine selection will include both Italian varietals and wines from Cooper's Hawk. Members of the Cooper's Hawk wine club will have access to membership benefits at the new location.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for August 23, 2025, at 4:30 PM. The event will be attended by Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli, Dupage County Board Member Saba Haider, Cooper's Hawk Founder Tim McEnery, and Chef Luca Issa of Piccolo Buco Rome.
The restaurant will operate from 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 AM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. A lunch menu will be available daily from 11 AM to 3:30 PM, and a happy hour will be offered Monday through Thursday from 2 PM to 5:30 PM.
Reservations can be made via Open Table, and further information is available on the restaurant's website.
