Colony Grill Plans Glastonbury Location As Part of Hartford County Expansion

Colony Grill has confirmed its expansion into Hartford County with a planned restaurant at 130 Glastonbury Blvd. in The Shops at Somerset Square in Glastonbury, Connecticut. The company stated the new location is scheduled to open later this year.

The Glastonbury restaurant will have seating for more than 175 guests indoors and will include a full bar with 12 tap lines and multiple televisions. The facility will also offer a large outdoor patio equipped with televisions. The company indicated that the new site is intended to accommodate various group gatherings.

This opening will bring Colony Grill’s total number of restaurants to 11, with 6 located in Connecticut. The Glastonbury location follows the company’s January 2026 opening in Shelton, Connecticut. Colony Grill also operates restaurants in New York, Virginia, Florida, and Maryland.

The new Glastonbury restaurant is part of Colony Grill’s ongoing expansion in Connecticut and the northeastern United States. The company noted that the Glastonbury location is intended to serve guests from the northeastern part of the state who have previously traveled to other Colony Grill locations.

The Shops at Somerset Square, where the new restaurant will be located, is a retail and dining center in Glastonbury. The company did not disclose further details regarding the specific opening date or hiring plans for the new location.

Colony Grill was founded in 1935 in Stamford, Connecticut. The company’s menu features thin-crust pizza and a signature hot oil topping.
