Chicken Salad Chick is expanding its presence in Kansas with the opening of a new restaurant in the Maize suburb of Wichita. The location at 10240 West 29th St N will begin serving customers on December 16. This marks the second Chicken Salad Chick restaurant in the state.
The opening event will feature a promotion offering the first 100 guests free chicken salad for a year. The first guest in line at 10 a.m. will be eligible for a free large Quick Chick of chicken salad each week for a year, while the next 99 guests will receive one per month for a year.
The Wichita location is owned by franchisee Troy Morrison, who operates over 100 Taco Bell and Wingstop locations nationwide, as well as 25 Chicken Salad Chick restaurants across several states. This new opening is Morrison's seventh Chicken Salad Chick location this year, following recent openings in Texas and Oklahoma.
The restaurant will offer dine-in, take-out, third-party delivery, and catering services. Operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
As part of its community engagement, the restaurant will hold fundraising events for Wichita's Littlest Heroes, a local pediatric non-profit organization.
