Chicken Salad Chick is set to expand its franchise operations into five new states, including Arizona, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Utah. The company is targeting these regions for strategic development, aiming to attract experienced franchise owners to capitalize on growth opportunities in these markets.

The expansion includes specific areas within each state: Flagstaff, the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, Prescott, and Tucson in Arizona; the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area in Nevada; Central and South Jersey in New Jersey; the Middle and Upper Hudson Valley and Upstate New York in New York; and the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area in Utah.

This move comes as the foodservice industry is projected to reach $1.5 trillion in sales by 2025. Chicken Salad Chick aims to position itself for long-term growth by entering these markets, which are characterized by growing populations and increased consumer spending at restaurants.

In the first half of 2025, Chicken Salad Chick has already opened several new locations across the country, contributing to its growth in the fast-casual restaurant segment. The company has identified additional states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and West Virginia, as potential areas for future expansion due to their economic potential.

Chicken Salad Chick reported over $394.2 million in system-wide sales last year, with a 13% increase in unit count year-over-year. The company also experienced a 38% increase in sales compared to 2021, achieving an average unit volume of $1.5 million.
