Chicken Salad Chick Opens New Location in Smithfield, NC

Chicken Salad Chick is set to open its newest location at 924 North Brightleaf Boulevard, Smithfield, North Carolina. This marks the chain's 17th outlet in the state. The grand opening event is planned for June 18, and the first 100 guests will receive free chicken salad for a year.

The Smithfield location will feature a variety of dining options, including in-restaurant seating, an outdoor patio, drive-thru, take-out, third-party delivery, and catering services. The restaurant will operate Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm.

Several promotional activities will be held during the opening week. On the first day, the first guest in line at 10:30 a.m. will receive a free large Quick Chick of chicken salad weekly for a year, while the next 99 guests will receive the same monthly. Subsequent days will offer the first 50 guests purchasing a Chick Trio various gifts, including a 40-oz Chick tumbler and a Chicken Salad Chick canvas tote bag.

Owned by Heather and Clay Harmon, the new franchisees are entering the restaurant industry for the first time with this venture. The couple aims to integrate into the Smithfield community by participating in local charitable activities. Before the official opening, the restaurant will host Friends & Family events to raise funds for the UNC Johnston Health Foundation's Angel Fund, which aids cancer patients.

Chicken Salad Chick continues to expand its presence in North Carolina, a state experiencing significant population growth, particularly in Johnston County where Smithfield is located. The brand emphasizes a menu that includes over a dozen chicken salad flavors, fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches, and desserts.
