Chicken Salad Chick Opens First Kansas Location in Overland Park

Chicken Salad Chick is set to open its first Kansas outlet at 9222 Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park. This marks the brand's expansion into its 22nd state. The grand opening event on July 1 will feature promotional giveaways, including free chicken salad for a year to the first 100 guests.

The Overland Park location is part of a broader expansion plan in the region, with two additional outlets expected to open in Johnson County by 2026. Franchisees Jo Anne Williams and Cindy Sulzman are spearheading these openings. They plan to manage the operations along with their business partner, Kirk, focusing on various aspects of the franchise operations.

The new restaurant will offer a variety of chicken salad flavors, fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches, and desserts. It will provide multiple dining options, including in-restaurant dining, take-out, and third-party delivery and catering services.

There will be a series of promotional events during the opening week at Overland Park. On July 2, the first 50 guests purchasing a Chick Trio will receive a free Chick tumbler. The following day, the same offer applies with a Chicken Salad Chick picnic blanket as the giveaway. On July 4, the first 50 guests buying two large Quick Chicks will get a free Chick Cooler, and on July 5, the first 50 guests purchasing a Chick Meal will receive a free Chick Meal on a future visit.

In addition to these promotions, the Overland Park team is committed to community engagement. Before the official opening, the restaurant will host fundraising events for The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, aiming to support local youth development.

Chicken Salad Chick's new location will operate Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm.
