Chicken Salad Chick Expands Franchise Presence in Atlantic Region
Chicken Salad Chick has announced the expansion of its franchise operations in the Atlantic region, adding new multi-unit franchisees in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
Chicken Salad Chick is expanding its footprint in the Atlantic region through new franchise agreements. The company has secured several multi-unit franchisees to open locations in key markets across Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
In North Carolina, Casey and Matt Carter will establish new locations in Morehead City, a region experiencing population growth. In Virginia, Devon Chamberlin, Patrick Cavanaugh, and Barry Chamberlin have increased their initial agreement from eight to 12 units in Loudoun, Fairfax, and Arlington counties. The Moore brothers, Josh and Jared, are focusing on Central Virginia, targeting Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Winchester.
In Pennsylvania, Jacob and Sabrina Longley are entering the Pittsburgh market, while Amanda and Ernest Greenford will open locations in Allentown. Maryland will see expansion in Montgomery County by Jim Schleckser and Carrie Tydings, with additional locations planned by Hannah Hinson.
The Atlantic region is identified as a strategic area for franchise growth, with projections indicating a 3.4% increase in franchise activity by 2025. Chicken Salad Chick's expansion aligns with this trend, leveraging the region's economic potential and population density along the Eastern Seaboard.
The company aims to capitalize on its growth momentum from 2024, targeting additional states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and West Virginia for future expansion. Chicken Salad Chick reported a 13% increase in unit count year-over-year and over $353 million in system-wide sales, marking a 38% increase over 2021.
