Standridge received the Best Chef: Northeast award from the James Beard Foundation in 2024. He is recognized for his leadership in sustainable seafood, with a focus on responsibly sourced fish, invasive species, and underutilized catch from New England waters. His approach highlights local and abundant species such as green crab, sea robin, and kelp.

In addition to his work at The Shipwright's Daughter, Standridge is involved with Mystic Fish Camp, a casual, retro-inspired fish shack with a mission to serve 100% sustainable, wild-caught, and locally sourced seafood. His efforts in Mystic include a commitment to redefining seafood sourcing and preparation.
