CKE Restaurants, Inc. has formally announced the commencement of the 2025 Carl N. & Margaret Karcher Founders' Scholarship application period. The scholarship program, run by the popular fast-food chain Carl's Jr., will award ten incoming college freshmen $10,000 each towards their tuition fees. The total scholarship funding for the year 2025 will be $100,000.

According to Andrew Robinson, CKE Restaurants' chief human resources officer, the scholarship program is a testament to the company's commitment to fostering connections, authenticity, and opportunities beyond the realm of food service. Over the years, the company has consistently supported students and team members in their pursuit of education, contributing to their realization of unlimited potential.

The scholarship program, which has been in operation since 1998, has assisted more than 1,000 students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities and community service. The scholarships have been particularly beneficial to students needing financial assistance to pursue higher education.

Last year, four scholarship recipients were restaurant team members: Michaela Cruz from Landers, California, Yamilet Dominguez from North Las Vegas, Nevada, Katy Hammer from White City, Oregon, and Dawn Patrick from Irrigon, Oregon. The company takes pride in being able to support its team members in their educational ventures.

Scholarship applicants must reside in one of the sixteen states where Carl's Jr. operates, be 26 years old or younger, and be incoming freshmen at an accredited college or university. The deadline for submission of applications is 3 p.m. PT on March 31, 2025.
