Carl Bachmann to Assume CEO Role at Riko's Pizza in January 2026

Riko's Pizza has appointed Carl Bachmann as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Bachmann, who has served as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer since January 2025, will succeed the company's founder, Rico Imbrogno. Imbrogno will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, where he will continue to be involved in the company's strategic direction.

Several operational changes and expansion efforts have marked Bachmann's leadership at Riko's. Since joining the company, he has overseen the modernization of enterprise technology and strengthened vendor partnerships. Under his guidance, Riko's has expanded into new markets, including Florida's Gulf Coast, coastal North Carolina, suburban Long Island, and Westchester County, New York, through the opening of multiple new restaurants.

In addition to geographic expansion, Bachmann has led efforts to innovate the company's menu offerings. New items introduced under his leadership include sliders, salads available in various formats, reimagined salad pizzas, premium desserts, and coffee service. These changes have contributed to a reported 16.5% year-over-year growth in corporate same-store sales.

Before his tenure at Riko's, Bachmann held executive positions at other restaurant chains, including BurgerFi International and Smashburger. His industry experience includes roles at Bertucci's and Ruby Tuesday, where he also served as a franchisee.

As Executive Chairman, Imbrogno will continue to influence Riko's strategic vision and governance. His role will also involve supporting the company's expansion efforts, drawing on his experience in construction and real estate.

Riko's Pizza, known for its tavern-style pizza, operates locations across Connecticut, Florida, New York, and North Carolina. The company plans to continue its expansion along the East Coast, with several new locations in development.
