Captain D's Launches New York City Location with Walk-Up Design
Captain D's has opened its first Northeast location in the Bronx, New York, marking the brand's entry into the region with a new walk-up restaurant format.
Captain D's has opened its first restaurant in the Northeast, at 763 E. Gunhill Road in the Bronx, New York. The restaurant, which opened on December 8, features a 650-square-foot walk-up design to accommodate the high foot traffic and limited space typical of metropolitan areas. This format includes a walk-up counter and takeaway service, with no dining room or drive-thru options.
The Bronx location is part of Captain D's strategic expansion along the eastern seaboard. The company plans to open three additional locations in the New York City area. The development is being led by Shahid Raza and his partners at FSR Group, who have experience operating restaurant franchises in Maryland, Virginia Beach, and New York. The group is also working on developing five Captain D's locations in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
The new restaurant offers a menu featuring hand-battered fish fillets, grilled seafood, shrimp, chicken dishes, homestyle sides, hushpuppies, and Southern-style sweet tea. The Bronx location will operate during standard Captain D's hours, offering convenient takeout for customers.
Captain D's currently operates over 530 restaurants across 23 states.
