Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, a popular sandwich chain, is set to open its first location in New Jersey. The new store will open on January 21, 2025, in the Princeton Shopping Center, located at 301 N Harrison Street Unit 470. The brand is well-known for its tradition of slow-roasting whole, all-natural turkeys in-house, and offering a variety of unique sandwiches using fresh ingredients.
The Princeton store is owned by local franchisees Jimit Dharia and his wife, Urvi Jatania. The couple, originally from India, have a background in entrepreneurship, having previously run restaurants and a construction business. They have lived in Central Jersey for 14 years and plan to open 10 more Capriotti's locations in the state.
"We're excited to bring Capriotti's to New Jersey and share our love for high-quality, handmade sandwiches," said Mr. Dharia. The menu includes an award-winning sandwich, The Bobbie, made with oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo, Capastrami with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and homemade coleslaw, and a variety of cheese steaks.
The opening of the new Capriotti's location will also provide new job opportunities in Princeton. Customers can download the CAPAddicts Rewards app on iOS and Android to earn rewards and get free food at Capriotti's outlets. The Princeton store will offer convenient order-ahead options, online ordering, and third-party delivery services. Additionally, Capriotti's offers catering services for various events.
