Brynwood Partners Sells Great Kitchens Food Company to Rich Products Corporation

Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. has finalized the sale of Great Kitchens Food Company to Rich Products Corporation. The transaction closed recently, according to a statement released by Brynwood Partners. Financial terms and additional conditions of the transaction were not disclosed.

Great Kitchens Food Company, headquartered in Romeoville, Illinois, operates three manufacturing facilities located in Romeoville, Chicago Heights, Illinois, and Brockton, Massachusetts. The company produces private-label and branded take-and-bake pizzas, flatbreads, strombolis, and calzones. Its products are distributed nationally through grocery stores, wholesale clubs, foodservice outlets, and e-commerce channels.

Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. formed Great Kitchens in December 2020 through the acquisition of ARYZTA North America's take-and-bake pizza and flatbread business. In February 2023, Great Kitchens expanded its operations by acquiring the Uno Foods Division of Uno Restaurant Holdings Corporation, which included the production and marketing of Pizzeria Uno Chicago deep-dish pizza, stromboli, and calzones.

Great Kitchens employs more than 1,000 workers across its three facilities. The Romeoville facility serves as the company's headquarters and houses a 155,000-square-foot toppings operation. The Chicago Heights location operates a 165,000-square-foot crust facility, while the Brockton site is a 35,000-square-foot facility focused on Uno frozen products.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC served as the financial advisor to Great Kitchens for the transaction, and Winston & Strawn LLP provided legal counsel.

The sale of Great Kitchens is part of a series of transactions completed by Brynwood Partners over a nine-month period, which also included the sale of Harvest Hill Beverage Company in May 2025 and the acquisition of Hometown Food Company and the Chef Boyardee brand. Brynwood Partners is currently investing from its Brynwood IX fund, established in 2023.

Following the divestiture, Brynwood Partners’ portfolio includes Carolina Beverage Group, Hometown Food Company, West Madison Foods, and Miracapo Pizza Company. The firm’s portfolio companies collectively operate 11 manufacturing facilities and employ more than 3,300 people.

Rich Products Corporation is a global food business with annual sales of $6 billion and operations in over 100 countries. The acquisition of Great Kitchens expands Rich Products Corporation’s presence in the private label and branded pizza and flatbread market segments.
