Carl's Jr. opened its first restaurant in Nicaragua today. Located in the country’s capital city of Managua at the Metrocentro Mall, the new Carl’s Jr. will provide an innovative and affordably-priced menu featuring the brand’s renowned 100 percent Black Angus Beef Thickburgers, the Famous Star, Super Star and Western Bacon Cheeseburger, specialty burger options including the Portobello Mushroom Burger and the Guacamole Bacon Burger and a full range of breakfast items including the Breakfast Burger, the Loaded Breakfast Burrito and the Surtido Nica platter.
Operated by Deli Star, an entity of the Delipollo corporation, the Metrocentro restaurant will be followed by a second location set to open at the Galerias Mall in Managua this fall.
To celebrate the grand opening of the Metrocentro Carl’s Jr. restaurant today, the first 50 guests will receive a free meal and discount card. In addition, the first 51 to 100 guests will receive an upsized combo meal for the price of a regular combo.
“Growth in Latin America is a key strategic priority for our company. We have over 300 restaurants in the region and have signed development commitments to build close to another 200 Carl’s Jr. locations. We are very excited to open in Nicaragua today to fill the market’s void for premium burgers,” stated Ron Coolbaugh, senior vice president of international franchise operations at CKE. “We’re confident that Deli Star, with their 50-year heritage and unparalleled restaurant expertise under the Delipollo umbrella, will help us to set a solid foundation in this country as we expand.”
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the new Carl’s Jr. will provide guests with an authentic, made fresh-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, along with table service, a refillable beverage bar and complimentary Wi-Fi.
“We’re honored to introduce this prestigious global burger chain to our country and look forward to expanding its reach across Nicaragua,” explained Martin Rosales, Delipollo board member. “Nicaragua not only has a fast-growing middle class but also a booming youth population, both of which seek fresh, craveable, high-quality food. Carl’s Jr., with its affordably priced better burgers and other innovative menu items, is poised to bring a superior quick-service dining experience to Nicaragua.”
