Things will heat up in the city of South Gate, California as Hooters celebrates the unveiling of its brand new South Gate location with a grand opening party on Monday, December 15. Hooters invites residents of Los Angeles County to celebrate the new location which boasts contemporary flair and sleek design features, including hardwood floors throughout, and more open space to encourage social interaction among guests. The grand opening kicks off at 11 a.m. and every day during grand opening week, the first 50 guests Monday through Friday will score a Hooters VIP Discount Card with an entire year’s worth of Hooters discounts.

The Hooters in South Gate has new interactive technology available to customers. Each table has a Ziosk tablet allowing customers to fully order at their table, and as guests enjoy the fun-loving atmosphere of Hooters they’re invited to play sports trivia and children’s games. With the newest Ziosk functionality, customers can also pay at the table. Guests will appreciate a simpler check-in process with a modern iPad “Virtual Personalized Host” where they can leave their cell phone number with the Hooters Girl at the door and shop in the El Paseo Shopping Center before dining. The system will contact the customer with a personalized text and/or voice message when their table is ready.

“We’re exceptionally proud to officially open this new location with a fresh design concept and new technology, reinvigorating the look and feel of Hooters without losing the essence of our iconic brand,” said Rick Leukert, chief executive officer and operating partner, Hootwinc, LLC. “With the hectic holiday season in full swing, we’re excited to welcome Hooters fans in the South Gate area to stop by and experience awesome food, a fun break from the ordinary and world famous Hooters Girl hospitality in a brand new Hooters.”

The grand opening is an exciting opportunity for Hooters franchisee Hootwinc, LLC, to unveil the second newly constructed Hooters prototype on the west coast, delivering a fresh, contemporary, and comfortable dining experience. The South Gate design follows the model set forth for all future new build Hooters locations, and is located at 8730 Garfield Avenue in the El Paseo Shopping Center. This is the 16th Hooters in Southern California.

The Hooters of South Gate, in close proximity to downtown Los Angeles, provides a completely new customer experience. The building itself touches on the modern, with a rustic undertone in order to maintain aspects of Hooters beach oasis heritage. The design features clean lines and smooth finishes on the interior and exterior of the building, including bold splashes of Hooters signature orange color throughout, expansive windows for a brighter and more spacious feel, and a “Heritage Wall” that celebrates Hooters 30 years of history, showcasing the iconic Hooters Girl along with key milestones from the past three decades.

Other design elements fans will be sure to notice is a more centralized bar, including a full range of liquor, over 50 draft domestic, local and craft beers, and a wide selection of wine offerings for guests. Sports fans will especially enjoy the two massive state-of-the-art video walls, made up of nine giant high-definition, flat panel, frameless TVs, creating life-size images of your favorite sports heroes that will make guests feel like they are sitting on the sideline of their favorite games.

Comfort was also a key consideration in the new design. Guests can choose to sit at the high back seating tables, which provide an “on stage” feel, or the low back seating booths that offer cozy areas for late-night visitors and sports viewers, while the expansive patio, which resembles a lounge with an impressive fire pit and inviting furniture, offers plenty of space to kick back and enjoy spending quality time with friends.
