Centerplate announced the appointment of Jerry Reed as Centerplate's General Manager at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans. In this new role, Reed will oversee the daily operations for food, beverage and merchandise in conjunction with the Titans. At Centerplate, Reed was part of the hospitality team for Super Bowls XLI and XLIV, as well as multiple stadium concerts and 5 Orange Bowl games. In 2011, he directed hospitality operations during the Miami Heats' run through the NBA.

"We are very excited to welcome Jerry as part of our team, leading the delivery of exceptional food and services for Titans fans," said Greg Fender, Senior Vice President of Sports for Centerplate. "Jerry's experience has earned him a reputation for maintaining a friendly and positive atmosphere, meeting tight financial goals and building a strong and mutually beneficial client relationship."

Reed discovered his passion for food and beverage while in college at Florida State University where he bartended at a local restaurant and worked numerous catering jobs. His foodservice management career began with an 8-year start in restaurants, during which time he was a General Manager for casual dining and upscale establishments. In 2005, he made the jump to Sports and Entertainment, joining the team at the BB&T Center in Sunrise Florida, home of the NHL Florida Panthers. In addition to hockey, this 21,000-seat arena hosted major concert tours, conventions, trade shows, and family events.

Prior to assuming the role of General Manager for Centerplate at LP Field, Reed was the Director of Operations at the AmericanAirlines Arena (AAA) in Miami Florida, home of the Miami Heat.  In this position, Reed was accountable for the daily food and beverage operations of 26 luxury suites, 54 loge mini suites, 300 seat Dewar's 12 Club, two Ultra Premium Flagship Lounges, as well as a full catering department, and extensive concessions programs. Reed used his exceptional leadership skills to unite a large management staff of managers and culinary executives.

Reed's recognitions and charitable work include the  2011 BB&T Center overall line of business award, 2010 Team captain for Relay for Life Davie Florida chapter, 2010-2012 Crohn's and Colitis fundraising chapter.

Reed's new responsibilities come at a time of growth for Centerplate. The company has recently added or renewed several client-partners such as the Music City Center in Nashville, TN, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in D.C. and the Miami Beach Convention Center. This spring, Centerplate also acquired The Lindley Group, which serves many of the United Kingdom's premier sporting facilities and tourist destinations. In 2011, Centerplate was also named the fastest growing hospitality group in the country by Nation's Restaurant News.
