Dickey's Barbecue Pit is opening its doors at its new location in Fort Myers on Thursday, October 25 at 11 a.m. Local owner, Adam Rodriguez, will be serving the first 100 customers a free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich.

"Once our store signs went up, we started getting calls from the community excited for our opening," said Rodriguez. "They're all so excited for slow smoked Texas barbecue to come to Ft. Myers."

Joe Martin, business partner of this location, has been overseeing the entire construction aspect of the new location. Tristan Silverio is the general manager for this location and has over 15 years' experience in restaurant management.

The restaurant is located in the Bell Tower Shops at 13499 US 41 S.E., which is at the corner of Daniel's Parkway and US 41. The store phone number is 239-245-9919.

"The best part about being a Dickey's franchise owner is the proven support system that is backing us up," said Rodriguez. "Dickey's treats you like part of the family and they also gave me great tools to run a successful business."

Dickey's hickory smokes their signature meats overnight in a pit in each location, offering beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, polish sausage and much more. A full line of fresh sides are available, including cole slaw, barbecue beans, potato salad and French fries.

About Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants

Dickey's Barbecue was founded by Travis Dickey with the goal of authentic slow smoked barbecue. More than 70 years later, the Dallas-based family run barbecue franchise still offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides, tangy barbecue sauce and free kids meals every Sunday.  All meats are slow smoked on site in each restaurant.  The fast-casual family-friendly concept has expanded to over 260 locations in 43 states and holds the title of the world's largest barbecue franchise. This year Nation's Restaurant News named Dickey's "Top Five Growth Chains" and they were also named "Best Franchise Deal" by QSR Magazine.
