Tampa, FL-based BONEFISH GRILL (founded 2000) has increased by 14 units, from 152 to 166 (9% growth) and entered into TX.  This upscale seafood concept is open for dinner only, with a $15-$30+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for around 250.  Locations trade in AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, and WI.  Bonefish is a subsidiary of Bloomin Brands Inc.

Texas-based TEXICAN CAFÉ (founded 1988) has increased by 1 unit, from 4 to 5 (25% company growth), with the addition of a new concept called Draft Pick American Grill.  The company also operates Café 1626 (1) and Texican Café (3).  The restaurants are family/casual, with a $6-$15+ per person price range.  Locations have full bar and seat about 200.  Texican Cafes serve Mexican cuisine and Café 1626 and Draft Pick serve American cuisine.  Delivery, online ordering, catering, and banquet services are available.  All the restaurants are in TX.

Washington, DC-based THAIPHOON has increased by 1 unit for their Mai Thai concept, from 2 to 3 (50% concept growth).  The company also operates the 2-unit Thaiphoon concept.  Overall company increase was from 4 to 5 (25% company growth).  These Thai restaurant concepts are open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20 per person check average.  Full bar is served and seating is for about 100.  Catering and banquet services are available.  Locations are in DC and VA.

TILTED KILT PUB & EATERY of Tempe, AZ (founded 2003) has increased by 3 units, from 62 to 65 (5% growth) and expanded into AR, NE and VA.  These are family/casual restaurants with full bar and seating for around 200.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $8-$20.  Locations are more than 90% franchised and are in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN! , TX, VA and WI.

SALAD CREATIONS of Coconut Creek, FL (founded 2002) has increased by 2 units, from 26 to 28 (8% growth).  These are fast casual restaurants with seating for around 50.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Catering is offered.  Locations are more than 90% franchised and are in CA, FL, IL, MD, MI, MT, NY, TX, VA and WI.

Georgia-based RIVERSIDE PIZZA (founded 1999) has increased by 2 units, from 6 to 8 (33% growth).  These quick serve pizzerias are open for lunch and dinner, with a $3-$8 per person price range.  Units have limited seating and offer catering, delivery and online ordering services. 

Texas-based SHOGUN JAPANESE GRILL & SUSHI has increased by 2 units, from 7 to 9 (29% growth).  The restaurants are upscale, with a $15-$30+ per person check average.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, serving full bar and offering seating for about 150.  Catering and private party services are available.  All locations are in TX.

SAM & LOUIE’S PIZZA based in Elhorn, NE (founded 1994) has increased by 2 units, from 20 to 22 (10% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with seating for around 125.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Beer and wine are served. Per person check average is around $6-$15+.  Catering is offered.  Locations are more than 80% franchised and are in IA, MT, NE and SD.  We last reported on this concept on 3/27/12 when they had 16% growth.

Athens, GA-based BARBERITOS (founded 2000) has increased by 3 units, from 25 to 28 (12% growth).  This is a fast casual Mexican concept, open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$12 per person check average.  Locations serve beer and wine and offer seating for about 90.  Catering and delivery options are available.  Locations are franchised and trade in FL, GA, NC, SC, and TN.  We last featured this concept on 1/24/12 (4% growth).

Jupiter, FL-based ALEHOUSE RESTAURANTS (founded 1988) has increased by 4 units, from 54 to 58 (7% growth) and entered into MA and NJ.  These family/casual bar and grill restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20 per person check average.  Locations have a full bar and seating for about 300.  Catering is available.  Trading areas are FL, GA, IL, MA, NJ, NV, NY, and PA.  We wrote about this concept on 8/2/11 (6% growth).
