Cornell Center for Hospitality Research Issues 2011 Compendium of Publications

The 2011 Compendium has been released by the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR). The compendium provides a convenient compilation of the CHR’s 2010 publications, arranged by topic. CHR publications include Cornell Hospitality Reports, Cornell Hospitality Tools, and Cornell Hospitality Roundtable Proceedings, as well as the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly.

Cornell Center For Hospitality Research Of particular interest in 2010 were three Cornell Hospitality Industry Perspectives, which are contributed by industry practitioners. In 2010, representatives of Cisco, Maritz, and J.D. Power and Associates contributed “perspectives” articles. The compendium is available from the CHR at no charge at

The CHR issued eighteen Cornell Hospitality Reports in 2010, most of which were written by faculty and students at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Topics included customer preferences for restaurant brands, human resources practices in Fortune’s “best companies to work for,” mergers and acquisitions, loyalty programs, and sustainable operations. A major topic was the hotel industry’s interactions with search engines, including search optimization and working with online travel agents.

Many of the articles in the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly observed the journal’s fiftieth anniversary of publication, with retrospectives of such topics as revenue management, hospitality marketing, employment law, and finance and asset management. The Cornell Hospitality Quarterly is available by arrangement with Sage Publishing.

Thanks to the support of the CHR partners listed below, all publications posted on the center's website are available free of charge, at
