Cornell HR Executive Summit Returns to HR in Hospitality Conference
Annual conference gives hospitality professionals HR insights from the top; Register by Feb. 18 to save $400.00
What better place to find strategies to rise to the top than at a summit? Senior HR executives in the hospitality industry will convene in Washington, D.C., for the Cornell University HR Executive Summit, just one of many highly anticipated sessions at the 5th Annual HR in Hospitality Conference & Expo, taking place April 4-6.
The 2011 conference features six plenary sessions and nine breakout sessions designed to help HR hospitality professionals resolve difficult issues involving healthcare reform, discrimination claims, immigration policy enforcement and many others. "There is no other conference where hundreds of HR professionals from this one industry can get together and address problems, share strategies, and develop focused techniques," said David Sherwyn, Associate Professor of Law at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Registrants save $400.00 off the on-site conference rate through February 18.
The Cornell University HR Executive Summit is a two-part learning experience held on the second morning of the conference. It will spotlight the leading minds in hospitality HR as they delve into complex challenges facing the industry in a pair of 75-minute sessions. Attendees will help select the discussion topics through surveys and the conference's LinkedIn group.
In Part I, J. Bruce Tracey, Associate Professor of Management at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, will lead a discussion on human resources strategies. Part II will follow with a candid dialogue on legal issues led by Sherwyn and employment law experts from the industry's leading organizations, including Denihan Hospitality Group, Destination Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Hotels, the Jackson Lewis and Jones Day law firms, Loews Corporation, OSI Restaurant Partners, Vail Resorts, Wyndham Worldwide and many more.
"It's been a really tough two years, but all signs are positive for accelerated growth in 2011," said Tracey. "Thus, hospitality firms must really think carefully about how they will address the increase in demand while maintaining a close eye on their expenses."
Following the Summit, a limited number of attendees will have the opportunity to continue the discussion with the panelists over lunch. Exciting networking events and the Expo Hall are open to all conference attendees. Visit www.HRinHospitality.com to see the complete agenda and to register.
