Miami's Local Food and Beverage Companies Are Ready, and Well-Positioned, to Capitalize on the Opportunity to Showcase Their Products and Services to More Than 6,300 International Food and Beverage Executives.
The world’s food and beverage marketplace is coming to Miami October 26 – 27, with global buyers, distributors and wholesalers descending on the city to attend the 14th Americas Food & Beverage Show in search of the latest and most innovative products for the grocery shelf and dining table.
“Trade is the fastest route to expansion and growth for a small to mid-sized company, especially in the current economy,” said Charlotte Gallogly, President of the World Trade Center Miami. “And we intend to take full advantage of the opportunity to access new markets without leaving Miami.”
EnviroCharcoal, owned and operated by businessman Jorge R. Fuentes, distributes Charconut, an eco-friendly charcoal made from coconut shells. Chill Drinks, founded in January 2010, will introduce a new line of energy drinks and gourmet iced teas. Chill Drinks will be part of the Beverage Pavilion. Like other small to mid-sized local firms, the owners of Chill Drink see the 14th Americas Food and Beverage Show as a “launch pad” for accelerated sales via international trade.
Other Miami-based enterprises participating in the show include Lazaro Foods, the parent company of Mediterranean Diet Online. The enterprise was founded in the 1980s by Miguel and Ramon Lazaro, two intrepid and entrepreneurial brothers from northern Spain known for their development of commercial centers in Spain and for researching and advancing green renewable energy sources worldwide. Lazaro will be showcasing value-priced gourmet quality food products.
Miami-based Markey’s Caviar, a world-wide leader in the direct import, export and distribution of gourmet foods since 1983 will present a “taste” of its amazing selection of gourmet foods, targeted to the global hospitality industry.
AG Tech International, headquartered in Miami since 2004, supports the food and beverage industry with point of sale, and ERP/CRM (Enterprise Resource Planning/Customer Retention Management) systems consulting and support and is introducing a food & beverage software platform to use on the Apple iPad.
Other local Miami companies participating in this year’s show include Mayrsohn International Trading; All Star Imports; Cooseman’s Miami; Fiori Bruna Pasta; G. F. Trading Company and Magnetic Corporation.
