Grill Concepts to Enter Dallas in 2006 With The Grill Restaurant
Grill Concepts, Inc. announced plans to enter the Dallas market with the opening of its newest The Grill restaurant in mid 2006, adjacent to the Dallas Galleria shopping complex.
The Grill at Galleria will feature a 7,200-square-foot free standing restaurant plus a 1,000 square foot patio. It will have combined seating for more than 250 guests and will offer an extensive wine list, featuring unique selections from California's boutique wineries, as well as a high energy full- service bar introducing hand crafted classic cocktails.
Robert Spivak, president and chief executive officer of Grill Concepts, said the company signed a 15-year lease on the property, with two 5-year options. Construction, budgeted at $2.5 million, is scheduled to begin this fall. Spivak said Galleria Dallas recently completed a multi-million dollar redevelopment that transformed the complex into a contemporary European-style shopping arena and that a further expansion is in process.
"We are excited about entering Dallas as well as being part of the Galleria, which attracts more than 17 million visitors a year," Spivak said. "The complex is a prestigious, high-visibility destination with more than 200 nationally and internationally recognized retailers."
The Grill at Galleria will mark the Texas debut of the company's flagship, The Grill-branded restaurants. Grill Concepts currently operates a Daily Grill-branded restaurant in Houston.
The original The Grill on the Alley was opened in Beverly Hills in 1984. Set in the traditional style of the old-time grills in New York and San Francisco, the decor draws upon the traditional American grills of the 1930s and 1940s. Famous for its signature dishes, The Grill at Galleria will serve a classic menu of prime steaks, chops, fresh seafood, pasta and freshly prepared salads with uncompromising service.
