Rubio's Restaurants, Inc. Announces Executive Changes
Foodservice and Retail Industry Veteran Joins Rubio's as Vice President-People Services
Rubio's® Restaurants, Inc., today named Gerry Leneweaver, Vice President-People Services, reporting to Sheri Miksa, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Leneweaver comes to Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill® most recently having led his own consulting firm, AGL Associates. Prior to that, Leneweaver was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at The Ground Round, Inc., where he helped the company earn numerous awards including "Employer of Choice" from the National Restaurant Association. Leneweaver also served in senior management roles at TGI Friday's, Inc., The Limited, Inc., Atari, Inc., and PepsiCo, Inc. (Pizza Hut and Frito-Lay). Leneweaver holds a bachelors degree from LaSalle University, in Philadelphia, PA.
"Gerry is an accomplished multi-unit foodservice and retail industry executive with an impressive record of results," said Sheri Miksa, President and Chief Executive Officer, Rubio's Restaurants, Inc. "With his extensive experience with a number of fine companies, as well as his experience managing his own human resources consulting practice, I expect him to be a strong addition to the Rubio's team."
Rubio's also announced that Tim Hackbardt, Vice President of Marketing, is no longer with the company. A search has been initiated for this position. Christy Geiling, Director of Marketing will serve as interim department head.
