Taco John's founder dies at 73

John K. Turner, who founded the Taco John's Mexican restaurant chain, died Tuesday in Cheyenne at age 73.

In March 1968, he opened his first restaurant, Taco House. He later added other restaurants, and the next year sold franchise rights to Jim Woodsen and Harold Holmes, who changed the name to Taco John's in honor of Mr. Turner.
